Presenti alla cerimonia, gran parte delle associazioni sportive paternesi, tra cui il Paternò calcio rappresentato dai giocatori Cocuzza e Raimondi e da alcuni dirigenti, quindi l’ex sindaco Pippo Failla, parte dell’amministrazione comunale con gli assessori Mannino, Natoli, Chirieleison, Gulisano e Tomasello, nonchè qualche consigliere comunale, le guardie ambientali e Turi Comis. nel dare il benvenuto, il sindaco ha ringraziato i presenti e raccontato l’iter che ha dovuto affrontare e le vicissitudini che si sono riscontrate durante il periodo in cui la struttura è stata chiusa, ma per lui, oggi è un giorno di festa, perchè piscina è ritornata a disposizione dei cittadini. Nino Naso, ha inoltre ringraziato il sen. La Russa per la sua presenza e lo aspetta per risolvere assieme altri problemi della città. Il sen. Ignazio La Russa ha invece commentato che la riapertura della piscina è un fatto importante per la città e che il suo impegno per Paternò non finisce qui, ma continua per affrontare assieme al sindaco altre problematiche.
