Non solo addetti ai lavori, ma anche molti esponenti del settore Protezione Civile, Misericordia, Vigili Urbani e forze dell’ordine, all’inaugurazione della sede dell’E.R.A. (European Radioamateurs Association), cioè i radioamatori d’Italia, i quali costituiscono una risorsa importantissima in caso di calamità naturali. Alla cerimonia, presente il sindaco Nino Naso, il presidente onorario Vito Rau, il presidente Carmelo Arcidiacono, il presidente nazionale E.R.A. Marcello Vella, i consiglieri Marzola, Sciacca, Paternò e Gulisano, il comandante dei Vigili Urbani Antonino La Spina, la presidente dell’Associazione Crisalide Blu, Mariella Sinatra, gli esponenti di Anpas e Misericordia di Paternò, Biancavilla, Ragalna e del comprensorio. Vito Rau ha commentato così l’evento: “L’associazione dei Radioamatori è una risorsa, che a Paternò già esisteva, ma che non aveva più sede, oggi abbiamo un punto di riferimento a disposizione della collettività”. Il sindaco Nino Naso ha invece esaltato il ruolo delle tante associazioni di volontariato presenti nel territorio, tra cui i radioamatori, che insieme all’Anpas e Misericordia, offrono un servizio di protezione civile indispensabile per il nostro territorio.
